Dear friend,
In the United States, we are two days away from the most significant election of our lifetime. Anxiety is running high. Instead of writing my usual Sunday post this week, and instead of adding a new lesson to our Body Temple Time series, I’ve decided to do something different than planned
Here is a mini guided practice I created early, early this morning (yes, that’s my bedhead) to help us collectively process some of the stress of this moment.
I am using finger tapping, a tool that I taught two weeks ago in week five of our Body Temple Time series. I invite you to follow along with me, replacing my language with whatever feels “up” for you. The tapping begins in minute 4.
The goal of this guided practice is to help discharge some of the stress, upset and anxiety we may be feeling at this moment, and build greater internal capacity for presence no matter what happens next. Use this as often as you like in the days ahead.
In this moment of great change, we can be with ourselves and one another well, with kindness, courage, clarity and strength. We were made for times such as this. I am grateful to be with you in it.
In love,
Rev. Angela
